At KidsPro, resilience means having the confidence to give things a go, try new skills and not give up when things get challenging.
We believe in fostering a safe environment, where the child knows that perseverance and giving things a go, is more important that doing things perfectly.
We are focused on building strong bodies, but even stronger mindsets.
We believe that the connection between the trainer, child and their families is integral to achieving goals. We aim to create strong bonds and create a sense of trust, which in turn, enables children to be comfortable exploring new challenges.
We tailor our sessions based on where the child is at on each particular day, and are flexible at making adjustments to their programs as needed. We understand that children with additional needs have a different experience every single day, and we like to meet the child where they are. We adapt our sessions to the needs of each child.
We approach every exercise with a play-based approach, as we believe this is the best way for children to learn. Our sessions are led by play and are child-centred. This means the focus of our sessions, games and activities are based on the child’s interests and their imagination.
Rather than simply doing a ‘workout’, we imbed the exercises into games and create a fun, stimulating and engaging exercise that builds the child’s strength and creativity at the same time.
We view health and well-being through a holistic lens, and understand that physical, emotional, social and cognitive development are all interlinked. We like our sessions to be well-rounded, and focus on each child as a whole, rather than just meeting their physical goals. We like including aspects such as turn taking, fine motor skills, social skills, emotional regulation and winning and losing into our sessions to support each child’s development.
